Introduction: FMC Lithium has been supplying the battery market for over 30 years and we were the first company to supply lithium into the Li-ion battery market. Battery related materials include battery metal, lithium cathode materials and precursors, lithium electrolytes precursors and stabilized lithium metal powder (SLMP®). In 2008, FMC Lithium built a new state-of-the-art research and development dry room for testing and development of rechargable lithium-ion battery components. FMC Lithium has manufacturing, research, and sales facilities located strategically in the United States, United Kingdom, China, India, Japan, Taiwan and Argentina. |

Patent Information: FMC Lithium has developed a significant cathode IP estate over the years, especially in the area of layered lithium metal oxides with dopants. The patented composition allows not only high rate capability (high power) at the beginning, but also the ability to maintain a high rate/power capability after long cycles by supressing the impedance build-up on the cathode surface, important and unique in the industry.
Relevant issued US patents: 6,277,521; 6,582,852; 6,794,085; 6,361,756; 6,589,499; 6,620,400; 7,074,382; and 6,878,490. Tianjin B& M Science and Technology Joint-Stock Co., Ltd supplies in China (exclusively), and on non-exclusive basis in Korea and Japan under license with FMC. Licensing opportunities are available outside of China. Please contact us for further information. |
